It’s not hard to find delicious smoothie recipes, but it is harder to find ones that are low in fat. Smoothies usually contain some kind of milk whether it be dairy milk or nut/soy milk. All have a relatively high fat content. Although I would ration that nut milks are healthier than their dairy alternatives, if you are striving for a low fat diet, it’s nice to avoid them altogether if you can. The reason I love this smoothie so much is because it’s super duper easy to make, low in fat and most importantly delicious! If you love bananas, you’ll love this smoothie.

What you’ll need (serves 2):

  • at least 4 bananas
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups water

What to do:

  • Blend it all up and enjoy!

You can also make this smoothie with 1/2 the bananas and cut the water with nut milk if you don’t mind a higher fat content. I also used to add honey to sweeten it, but it turns out that the bananas are sweet enough on their own. All of these combinations make my top 10 list of smoothies I love.

Tried it? Tell me how you liked it!
